Life

Vesuh'ra Kato was born a few decades before the the 7th Umbral Calamity. The fifth son of Vesuh, his tribes matriarch and leader, Kato was doomed to suffer in obscurity. The last born male to the tribal leader left a Keeper in a sort of limbo. Too important to be shunned, not important enough to be respected.The circumstances of his birth suited him fine for the first decade of his life. But nothing lasts forever. Disaster, destruction, and death swept through his tribe. Kato was forced out on his own.He wandered the lands of Dravania. Searching for purpose. For life. For understanding. He was found and taken in by a knight of some small renown. He was trained. He was taught. He was molded into something more. Despite the darkness in his past.Kato now serves faithfully in the role that his mentor once did. Having taken up the mantle of a knight and serving faithfully his House in Ishgard.His life moves forward as all others do.

Relationships

S'anna Kersa
Kato met S'anna some time ago when she began visiting the collections of Ishgard for her own research. They connected through shared interests and a genuine desire to explore their worlds. They fell in love, and have since been married.

Work

Kato serves his primary role as a minor knight in service to House Haillenarte.Outside of his knightly duties. Kato invests the majority of his time and effort into Alchemical and Aetherological Research. His primary goal inside of this research is the understanding of the nature of Aether and its connection to Life. Specifically his research has been focused on why the blood of creatures seems to hold innate aetherical properties.When on furlough, Kato takes up adventuring work to keep in shape and stay sharp. He enjoys grand hunts and tracking down outlaws.

Quirks

  • Kato is fond of Spriggans.

  • At almost all times there is a rose in his possession. It is dark red to the point of being black.

  • Kato prefers coffee over tea.

  • He smokes, but only in social situations or when drunk. Mainly from a pipe given to him by his mentor.

  • Kato often smells like cinnamon.

Keepers of the Moon

If you come from a Keeper clan, or have spent any time around the clans, you may have heard of a clan slaughtered in the Dravanian forests. They say the last survivor of the clan can still be found walking those forests from time to time. Almost as if he is lost.

You may know him from his service, from around Ishgard and its lands, or from a recent campaign.
